MicroChanneling and Stem Cell Therapy

What is MicroChanneling?

MicroChanneling temporarily creates hundreds of thousands of micro-channels into the skin to be “filled” by new healthy collagen. It also allows topical solutions to absorb up to 300% more effectively. During treatment, serums applied containing naturally derived growth factors, peptides and cytokines restore and amplify biological communication during the wound-healing cascade that an aging immune system no longer provides.

A perfect balance of gentile stimulation of your skin produces “wound healing” without a wound, complimented by the infusion of nutritious and vital factors responsible for helping you produce your best skin!

What does the growth factor serum contain? Does it have human tissue in it?

The growth factor serum used with our MicroChanneling treatments does not contain live human stem cells. Instead it contains proteins that are manufactured in a lab using stem cells.

What can I expect during the treatment?

Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed, lightly exfoliated and disinfected. Next the MicroChanneling device will be used to “stamp” micro-channels into the skin. This is not a painful treatment but you may feel light sensitivity in certain areas. Growth factor serum will be applied liberally during this process and your provider will make several passes over the entire face and neck until the skin takes on a light pink appearance. When the micro-channeling process is finished a cooling and moisturizing mask will be applied. Each treatment can take 60-90 minutes and includes a week supply of Cellular Renewal and Healing Accelerator Serum to begin using the morning after your treatment.

How does MicroChanneling differ from other cosmetic treatments?

Unlike lasers, MicroChanneling breaks up pigment mechanically and remodels the collagen without heat or light. As the heat is removed from the process, it makes for a much safer, more comfortable, more consistent treatment, with very little or no downtime. Unlike medical micro needling, MicroChanneling does not break the epidermal/dermal junction so there is less pain, no bleeding and little or no risk of infection. MicroChanneling is also far less expensive than medical micro needling.

How many treatments do I need and how often should I be treated?

For wrinkles and acne scarring 5-6 treatments may be required. To improve hair loss a minimum of 5 treatments is needed. MicroChanneling can also be done on the scalp to improve hair loss and on the body for skin tightening, stretch marks and scarring. For wrinkles and scarring we recommend allowing 3 weeks in between treatments, for hair-loss a treatment every 2 weeks is advised for best results.

Is there any downtime after MicroChanneling treatments?

Any visible skin irritation is often gone after as little as two hours following your treatment. Wait a minimum of 2 hours before applying anything to your skin after treatment. This includes sunscreen, skincare products or makeup. Wait 2-3 days before resuming the use of irritating or inflammatory skin products like retinol or exfoliating products.

Other important things to know.

If you are pregnant, have active Herpes Simplex, unstable diabetes or immune deficiencies we do not recommend MicroChanneling. If you currently have inflammed acne, active eczema or other inflammatory skin conditions, you may not be a good candidate for MicroChanneling.

MicroChanneling should not be performed within 2 weeks of receiving Botox or dermal filler injections at the treatment site. If you have recently had microblading the area must be completely healed before receiving a MicroChanneling treatment. Discontinue retinol or harsh exfoliating products a minimum of 7 days before your MicroChanneling treatment.

If you are not sure if MicroChanneling is right for you or if you have questions, we are happy to provide you with a free consultation before you begin MicroChanneling and Stem Cell therapy.
